Peacehaven lies by the beautiful hills of the south downs. It benefits
from having both the countryside and the sea close at hand.
The South
Downs are an area of outstanding natural beauty.

At the foot of the downs sweeps the pretty rolling farmland
of Peacehaven. There are small woods and heathland scattered amongst
the hills and fields, which burst into colour in springtime, attracting
nature lovers and ramblers from all around Sussex and beyond. |
Such a mixture of countryside
is also a haven for wildlife.
Scenes like these are easy to find on a stroll
around the farmlands. But the habitat is ideal too for birds like the
peregrine falcon, sparrowhawk, fulmar, and black redstart.
