Self Hypnosis for Insomnia

If you suffer from insomnia, or just can't sleep, self hypnosis is a brilliant way to re-train your body and mind how to fall asleep quickly.

Because the 'doorway' to sleep is progressive relaxation, insomnia is often caused by worrying, or simply an 'active mind'.

This causes the levels of stress hormones within the body to become elevated, and so insonmia follows. The brain cannot fall asleep.

This is where self hypnosis comes in. Self hypnosis teaches you to control your attention so you have more control over what you think about.

Try the technique from the free online course about an hour before going to bed, and when you are in bed if you can't sleep. If you don't go to sleep right away, just keep doing it.

The time you are awake will be time well spent practising self hypnosis AND you'll be getting the benefits of relaxation.
